Taurus New Moon, yay remembering

Posted by domspe on May 15, 2007 in abundance

Do you remember blissfully playing in the mud as a child? Well, it turns out it was actually good for you! Dirt is a natural antidepressant. New research shows that friendly bacteria in the soil actually boost serotonin levels that make us happy

If you had one goal, and that was to feel good, you would live successfully and happily, fulfilling your life’s purpose ever after.”
—Abraham/Hicks

The New Moon in Taurus is the “creator moon” because creation springs from pleasure: the pleasure of imagining and attracting what we want.

New Moon Intentions
I am happy & blissful everyday.
My mate and I are respectful and loving to each other.
I find content in everyday living.
I trust that my future is bountiful
I am exactly where I need to be.

PiscesNew Moon – better late than never

Posted by domspe on Apr 13, 2007 in abundance

Well, i totally missed the last new moon, i’ve had a thing against Pisces ever since one started creeping me out… but thats completely not fair to the entire sign in general. :)

This month’s Pisces New Moon offers a chance to consciously engage with our darkness, no matter how unsavory, and bring it into the light. Falling at the tail end of the last sign of the zodiac, this New Moon symbolizes the completion of ancient karmic patterns.

Intentions are also better late than never, especially when they address our more secretive patterns.

Be accepting & compassionate to myself & others
Embrace the art of studying
Practice yoga daily
Meditate, in some fashion – not just sitting, daily
Redefine my relationship with food.

Aquarius New Moon Intention

Posted by domspe on Feb 15, 2007 in abundance

getting back on the bandwagon!

MoonCircles.com says

Enter a room where there’s been an argument or heavy sobbing; maybe a depressed person has spent time there. You’ll feel it. The energy will be thick, charged, and uncomfortable. To disperse it, you can clap your hands. You can ring bells. You can burn sage. Or you can spray a fine scented mist in the air. Such things work. I mention them now because that’s the best action for this New Moon. Aquarius is THE cycle to raise your energy. In fact that’s the mandate: This is the month to become unstuck. No sign has a greater connection to positive forward leaps than Aquarius. It’s the sign of progress, innovation and breakthroughs. But first you’ve got to clear out any musty, droopy, angry, wimpy, old and static energy that’s cluttering your psychic space.

well, historically, this is the month that i DO become unstuck. January seems to be the time where i lose it, and when february rolls around, i try to find some grounding.

my aquarius new moon intention:
- clear out the mental clutter by starting & maintaining a meditation practice
- be proactive & actice – no more lazy, sleeping till 10.
- mentally prepare for transformation that will occur at school
- sage the house once a week to keep the energy fresh & moving

valentine’s 2007 – undecorate dance party!

Posted by domspe on Feb 15, 2007 in abundance

We somehow managed to leave our christmas decorations up so long that the tree was very dead. at first, it was on purpose as We decided, that the tree was pretty & we could leave it up a little longer. Then, we ran out of time to even take it down… and it became an official fire hazard as well as a duty we had both been dreading.

I suggested we have a “Valentine’s Day Un-Decorate Dance Party” – combining fun with something that needed to be done. So, after a delicious dinner of Spanish-style Snapper & Edamame, a bottle of wine & lime-aide mimosas, we went to town on those xmas decorations – dancing to our hearts content. (geek side note: meanwhile, we’re trying to setup AirPort Express to be an AirTunes… which, we should have read the directions because it was really easy after we wasted 2 hours to find the control panel that turned the AirTunes function on! But once it works, its awesome, iTunes plays to 2 separate sets of speakers wirelessly!!!)

So, for the LIFE OF ME (and Ian), we couldn’t figure out what in the world we did last valentine’s day… Ian remembers having to work out of town, but I couldn’t remember what we did to celebrate. I knew we did something…

this is yet another time i have to say THANK YOU BLOG

The whole time we’re boogying, I have a memory of dancing to the Talking Heads song “Girlfriend is Better” with Ian and having a super epiphany at some New College party. Which, of course, was last year’s V-Day PCP & happened to be an awesome time for me. (thanks, blog)

The blog also clued me in to a funk I was in around the same time for 2 years ago. I must say that I was in the same exact funk but amplified this year. The transition + post-holiday blues + apparently normal funk = a lot of suck. However, my trip to Florida seems to have lifted my spirits….

All of these revelations are more reasons why I am making more effort to blog these days. I feel off the bandwagon after I moved from Sarasota, time to get back on.

Oh, and, i have the CUTEST boyfriend ever: My Valentine’s Day Present from Ian

love notes lead way to affirmations

Posted by domspe on Feb 13, 2007 in abundance

before i left to visit Sarasota, I adorned the house with love notes to help keep Ian company while i wa gone. I know how lonely an empty house can get. Well, since i’ve returned, i’ve really enjoyed reading my own notes. they bring a big smile to my face and they aren’t even “to me.”

So, this lead me to an idea that my yoga teacher in Sarasota uses. She has some affirmations posted around her house. So, last night i made a word document with a table & filled it with things that would help put that smile on our faces & that will help hold our intentions for a brighter future.

it’s ridiculously cute. :)
